Tags
Tags are keywords that can be used to categorize, filter, and more easily find objects (e.g. environments, VM templates, or virtual machines).
They help to structure large amounts of data clearly and to group objects by topic.

Example or use case
An environment manager wants to organize her events by topic areas. She creates the tags Networking, Basics, and Advanced. She can then filter by these tags in the environment overview and specifically find environments assigned to a particular topic area.
Notes / special considerations
- Tags can be used multiple times and assigned to multiple objects simultaneously.
- When an object is deleted, its assigned tags are automatically removed.
- Tags are independent of user roles -- all users with the appropriate permissions can see and use them.
- The tagging system is universal and supports nearly all object models in OpenVLE.
