Login
To log in to OpenVLE, please open the individual portal URL of your installation.
You typically receive this URL from your IT department, your organization, or via a corresponding invitation email.
If you are not yet logged in, you will be automatically redirected to the login page.
Login with an External Account
Users with an external account log in with their usual credentials:
- Username: your central username
- Password: your personal password
These credentials are managed externally.
If you experience login issues, please contact your IT department or technical support.
Login with a Local Account
If you do not have an external account (e.g., external persons or test users), you can log in with a local account.
This consists of a separate username and password that were individually assigned to you.
Local accounts are managed exclusively within OpenVLE.
Example or Use Case
After opening your individual OpenVLE portal URL, the login screen appears. Enter your username and password and click Login. Upon successful authentication, you are automatically taken to the Dashboard.
Notes / Special Considerations
- Passwords are transmitted and stored securely encrypted.
- After multiple incorrect attempts, access may be temporarily locked.
- Local user accounts are independent of the central login system.
- After logging in, your session remains active until you manually log out or close the browser.
- For security reasons, it is recommended to manually log out after use — especially on public devices.
