License Terms

OpenVLE is released under the GNU Affero General Public License Version 3 (AGPLv3). The AGPLv3 is a free software license by the Free Software Foundation (FSF), based on the GPL v3, which additionally ensures that the source code remains available even when the software is used over a network.

Conditions of the AGPLv3

  • Distribution of the software must be under the same license terms
  • Modifications to the software must be disclosed and released under the same license terms
  • The source code must be provided when the software is made accessible over a network
  • Users must be informed about the license terms and have the opportunity to view a copy of the license

What does this mean for you?
